McDonald’s is an American fast-food store, founded by brothers Maurice and Richard McDonald who opened the first McDonald’s restaurant in San Bernardino California, United States. Eight years into operation, they switched their range of products to burgers, potato chips, pie, and shakes. They went ahead to purchase some Multi-mixers for use in the restaurant. When the Multi-mixer salesman, Ray Kroc visited, impressed by their success and efficiency, he bought franchise rights from the founders. Later in 1955, Ray Kroc opened his first franchise in Des Plaines, Illinois.
Although a good number of McDonald’s restaurants around the world look similar to their American counterparts, their menus are a little bit different to reflect local tastes. Some of these unique local tastes include: three bratwursts on a bun or Nurnberger (Germany), McFalafel and McKebab (Israel), and pasta served with chicken McNuggets (Philippines) www.mcdvoice.com.
